 Patient/Caregiver Renewal

Who Must Renew Their Registration?

All Patients and/or Caregivers registered with MCA must renew their registration. Patients renew every six years and Caregivers renew every two years.

Please-DO NOT submit a new application to renew a registration/account.

How Do I Renew My MCA Registration?

  • Patients and/or Caregivers that have NOT registered an account through Maryland OneStop portal must register prior to renewing their current MCA registration.
    • To register your account on the Maryland OneStop portal, you must use the email address that is currently affiliated with your registration.* Click here to access Maryland OneStop.

  • ​For Patients that already have an existing Maryland OneStop account and need to renew their MCA registration: Login to your Maryland OneStop account and follow the instructions listed below to renew your application. Click here to access Maryland OneStop.
    1. ​Navigate to onestop.md.gov and select "Login".
    2. Once you're logged in, select "My Dashboard".
    3. Click on your MCA Patient ID number which is located under "My Licenses, Permits, and Registrations" that is up for renewal.
    4. From the License Information page, click on the green "Actions" button on the right hand side of the Registration header.
    5. Select "Renewal Form" from the drop down menu.
    6. Upon launching the Renewal form, you will see your personal information and address pre-populated from data you submitted with your initial application.
    7. Upon receiving notification that your application has been approved/renewed, log in to your Maryland OneStop account to Print/View the PDF version of your Patient ID card or order your MCA ID card and pay the $25 fee.
               **"Fee waived" applicant will not have to pay the $25 fee for the Patient ID Card**

  • For Caregivers that already have an existing Maryland OneStop account and need to renew their registration: Login to your Maryland OneStop account and follow the instructions listed below to renew your application. Click here​ to access Maryland OneStop.
    1. ​​Navigate to onestop.md.gov and select "Login".
    2. Once you are logged in, select "My Dashboard".
    3. Click on your MCA Caregiver ID Number which is located under "My Licenses, Permits, and Registrations" that is up for renewal.
    4. From your​ License Information page click on the green "Actions" button on the right hand side of the Registration header.
    5. Select "Renewal Form" from the drop down menu.
    6. Upon launching the Renewal form, you will see your personal information and address pre-populated from the data you submitted in your initial application.
    7. Upon receiving notification that your application has been approved/renewed, log in to your Maryland OneStop account and order your MCA ID card and pay the $25 fee.
